Built to Fit: How Ryvid’s Modular Design Helps You Dial in the Perfect Ride Height

When it comes to riding an electric motorcycle, size matters for both the bike and the rider. A machine that fits your height and riding style feels more confidence-inspiring, handles more naturally, and makes every ride more enjoyable.

Thanks to Ryvid’s modular design approach, both the Anthem and Outset models offer a few select factory configuration options that can help fine-tune your seat height and riding position, offering a slightly higher or lower profile right from the start.

Understanding Your Options

Of the two models, the Ryvid Anthem offers the most built-in seat height flexibility. It comes standard with an electronically actuated seat height system, allowing you to adjust the seat height from 31” to 34” (measured from the top of the seat to the ground), all at the touch of a button.

Beyond this integrated adjustment on the Anthem, there are additional configuration options available at the time of order that can further tailor the fit. Because the Anthem and Outset share the same base platform, it’s possible to swap select components, like suspension systems, handlebars, or opt for smaller wheels, to better match your riding preferences

Here’s a quick breakdown:

For the Anthem:

    • Anthem Suspension: Stiffer, tuned for street and highway performance with responsive handling
    • Anthem Stock Height: 31 inches
    • Anthem with 15" Wheels: ~29 inches
    • Anthem with Outset Suspension: ~33 inches (lowest seat setting)

For the Outset:

    • Outset Suspension: Softer, with 1.5" of additional travel for a softer ride on rougher roads and light off-road terrain
    • Outset Stock Height: 32.5 inches
    • Outset with 15" Wheels: ~30.5 inches
    • Outset with Anthem Suspension + 15" Wheels: ~29.5 inches

Even small changes like swapping wheels or suspension can make a noticeable difference, especially for riders under 5’8” or over 6’. A better dialed-in seat height can help create a more natural, grounded ride, which is especially important in stop-and-go traffic or when transitioning between surfaces

About 15" Wheels: Opting for smaller wheels can reduce your seat height, though it may also result in a slightly more reactive ride over bumps. It's all about finding the balance between foot reach, control, and comfort.

How It Works

If you're interested in adjusting your bike’s configuration, a Ryvid sales specialist will walk you through your options during the ordering process. All adjustments are performed in-house by our R&D team before your bike ships—no aftermarket mods or third-party guesswork required.

Available fitment options include:

    • Swapping suspension between Anthem and Outset setups
    • Selecting different wheel sizes (standard 17” or smaller 15”)
    • Swapping handlebars between models to fine-tune rider position and ergonomics

Your Ryvid specialist will walk you through the available options and help you choose the setup that seems right for you.

A quick note: Some configurations, such as suspension swaps, may carry an additional charge. Once a new bike order is placed, there’s a 48-hour window to make changes. After that, due to production timelines, requests may be subject to review and could involve pro-rated fees. If you're considering fitment options, we recommend speaking with a Ryvid specialist before placing your order online.

What This Means for Shorter Riders

If you’re on the shorter side, the Anthem’s electronically adjustable seat—paired with 15” wheels—can get the seat as low as ~29”, making for a more grounded and confident ride at stops or in traffic. The Outset, when paired with 15” wheels, can get close too, around 29.5”, with the added benefit of a softer ride for varied terrain.

What This Means for Taller Riders

For taller riders, the Anthem’s adjustable seat height can extend up to 34", while swapping to the Outset suspension can add even more height and travel for a softer ride. Alternatively, the Outset’s stock height of 32.5" and its additional suspension travel make it ideal for taller riders looking for more room and comfort.

The Ryvid Difference

Ryvid’s modular platform gives us a bit more flexibility than traditional motorcycle designs, and we use that flexibility thoughtfully. While our bikes are engineered to accommodate a wide range of riders right off the line, we’re also able to offer select configurations, on a one-off basis, when additional fit support is needed.

If you’re concerned that a standard setup might feel too tall, too cramped, or simply not quite right, we’re happy to explore available adjustments that may improve your experience.
